Elizabeth “Liz” Tucker Rudisill passed away on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication that will be cherished by all who knew her. Liz was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her fun and vibrant spirit impacted the lives of many.
Liz was the beloved wife of C. Guy Rudisill, III, for sixty-five years. They met at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and she remained a lifelong fan and supporter of Volunteer athletics. Together with Guy, they raised two children: Murray Guy Rudisill (married to Jelinda Scott) and Elizabeth Rudisill Villena (married to Gabriel Villena). Liz was blessed with grandchildren: Edward Tucker Rudisill, Peyton Blair Rudisill, Mason Michael Scott, William Carter Scott (married to Sarah), Gregory Brett Villena, and Steven Cole Villena. She was also blessed with a great grandchild, William Reed Scott, whose presence brought her immense joy.
She is survived by her siblings, John Hickman Tucker, Jr. and Mary Tucker Boyd, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hickman Tucker and Helen Hunt Tucker, of Donelson, TN.
Liz taught preschool at the Children’s Center for the Physically Handicapped in her younger years and later enjoyed a successful 30-year career as a residential real estate agent. She loved real estate because she loved the people that she had the opportunity to meet.
Liz contributed to her community as a hospice volunteer, elementary school tutor, Altar Guild member, and as an active participant in the Old Salem Garden Club. She was supportive of the Piedmont Opera, Winston-Salem Symphony, and other non-profit organizations.
Liz and Guy were active members of Centenary United Methodist Church for decades. Faith was important in her life and sustained her through to the end.
In her retirement years, she developed passion for bridge and held leadership roles in some of the groups with whom she played. Liz found joy in traveling and loved exploring new places and cultures with family and friends. She visited dozens of countries and at least six continents. She treasured every moment spent with her family and was an avid reader, always eager to discover new stories and ideas.
Liz will be deeply missed and forever loved. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
A memorial service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church, 646 West Fifth Street, Winston-Salem NC, 27101, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. The family will greet guests immediately following the service.
