Beth was born in Asheboro, NC on June 6, 1951. She graduated from Asheboro High School in 1969 and attended UNC Greensboro for one year. In 1970, Beth married her husband of 56 years, Stuart, and together they raised their 2 daughters, Amy and Caroline. Beth was a dedicated and supportive mother and grandmother. Her grandsons knew her as “Grandmommy” and she loved nothing more than spending time with them, whether reading books, cheering at baseball games, or attending band performances.
Beth is survived by her husband, Stuart Walker; her daughters, Amy Fleischer (Ethan) of Wake Forest, NC and Caroline Fruitt (Scott Talarczyk) of Creedmoor, NC; beloved grandsons, John Fleischer and Aleksander Talarczyk; brother, Gene Morgan (Judy Windle) of Charlotte, NC; sister, Susan Swiers (Charles) of Asheboro, NC; as well as her nieces, nephew, and their families.
Beth was predeceased by her parents, Samuel Hiatt Morgan and Rosa Shumate Morgan of Asheboro, NC and her son-in-law Robert Fruitt of Raleigh, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home on October 25, 2026, beginning at 2:00pm. Officiating will be Rev. Lib Campbell.
