Faith Marilyn Carlton

In Faith’s early adulthood she took organ lessons and was in several piano recitals. She won different music awards and received recognition from the National Pianist’s Guild. One of her proudest accomplishments was that she sang in her high school acapella choir nationally over the radio. Her proudest family moment was her wedding to her wonderful Christian husband Tom Carlton and the birth of her 4 children.

Faith enjoyed her time as a stay at home mother. She loved being home with the kids and being able to be there for all the little moments that life had to offer.

She was actively involved in her Church, the North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene. She was the Church organist, Faith was a wonderful musician and could breathe life and praise into the notes on the page. Her heartfelt musical expression always went beyond what was written.

Some of Faiths favorite things later in life were her Chick-fil-A Strawberry Shakes, Bacon, her dogs, NC State Wolfpack Sports and her love and passion for music.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, Duane Signor and Olive Signor; her Brother, Allan Signor; her Husband, Thomas Carlton; Great-Grandson, Brahm Copeland.

She is survived by her 4 Children and their spouses, Nancy and Wayne Sharpe, Polly and Elvin Barwick, Paul Carlton, Peter and Kathryn Carlton; her 10 Grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, April, Christopher, Jessica, Whittney, Tyler, Tiffani, Samantha and James; her 16 Great Grandchildren, Alayna, Craven, Tanner, Noah, Eli, Abby, Barrett, London, Forrest, Miriam, Rylan, Lucille, Arbor, Opal, Luca and Roman.
