Floyd Melbourne Chilcott

Floyd M. "Pete" Chilcott went home to the Lord on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 after a long illness. He was born on March 15, 1931 in Monticello, Indiana. Pete was a loving husband and dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from the Air Force in 1974 after a distinguished career. He then went to work for Wyle Laboratories as an acoustic technician for over 20 years. He was a pilot and flight instructor for the Langley AFB Aero Club and Ric Aviation. As a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Pete served as a choir and bell choir member. He was also a member of Monitor Lodge #197 AF&AM and Colonial Chapter #40 OES where he served as Worthy Patron. Preceding him in death was his beloved wife Lois Alwayne Chilcott.

He leaves to cherish his memory sons Michael Chilcott (Pat) and Craig Chilcott (Ginny) , grandchildren Chris Chilcott (Dawn), Denise Howell (Shawn), Donna Harrington (Matt), Catie Chilcott, Robert Shepard (Melanie), and Steven Shepard (Crystal Clemens), and great-grandchildren Madison and Alycea Chilcott, Jacob Howell, Brycen Harrington, and Sebastian, Sage, Reagan, and Peyton Shepard.

A memorial service to honor his memory will be scheduled at a later date.
