Frank Matthew Serafano was born August 8, 1925 in Detroit Michigan to Natale and Crucifissia (Lucido) Serafano. He passed away June 25th 2022 at age 96. He early life was modest being born to Italian immigrants money was tight but love of God, respect for others and personal honesty and integrity was plentiful. He was blessed with 6 siblings, Dominic, Peter, Sam, Joe, Jenny and Mary. He attended Old Saint Mary's Church in Detroit where his love of learning began.
Frank was proud to serve his country and served in the army at a young age. It was there he developed his love of electronics and his love of learning continued to grow. He went on to open his own business fixing televisions, radios, and newly developed technology as it came along.
On May 26, 1957 he married Theresa Militello and from this union seven children were created, Marie (Mark) DiMambro, Joann (Jim) Telfer, Natalie Serafano, Rosalie Serafano, Margaret Serafano, Salvatore (Jennifer) Serafano, and Frank (Noelle) Serafano.
Frank always time for his grandchildren. Long talks about life, their future and the world. He always wanted them to understand how important education was "Knowledge is Power" is what he shared with all of us.
He is survived by 17 grandchildren, Jami, Mark (deceased), Joe, Matthew, Michael, Amanda, Anthony, Nino, Sam, Lauren, Jacob, Christopher, Lucas, Nathan (Deceased), Clayton, Bianca and Caesar.
He was a proud great grandfather to 13 great grandchildren. Lilly, Felix, Jameson, Jaiden, Jackson, Vincenzo, Annabella, Violet, Valen, Ava, Knox, Nixon and Ryanne Mae.
Frank missed Theresa terribly we a so glad he is reunited with his 2 true loves, Theresa and his dog Rita.
In lieu of flowers, Theresa and Frank were big supporters of St. Jude Children's Hospital because they were so grateful for their healthy children and grandchildren.
