Gary Karl St. Lawrence

Gary had a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Motel Restaurant Management from UNLV. In recent years, prior to retirement he worked as an engineer for Fluor Daniel Construction and Bechtel Construction living in various parts of the country.

Gary was an avid golfer. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved north to Louisburg, NC to be near their daughter. He loved woodworking and enjoyed making things for the home. When their granddaughter arrived, he and his wife were active grandparents and caregivers. Gary and his wife were avid travelers, having made several trips to different parts of the world. He especially enjoyed cruise ship sailing.

Gary is preceded in death by his father Elwyn St. Lawrence of Harrisville, NY and his mother, Virginia St. Lawrence Smith of Canton, NY.

Gary is survived by his wife Victoria (Vickey); his daughter, Erica Shaeffer; and granddaughter, Evelyn of Raleigh, NC; his brother, Bruce, Wife Judy, of Middlesex, NY; sister, Linda Wright of Fredericksburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Gary's life will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 1:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home's Chapel, 300 Saint Mary's St., Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
