George Alexander Curnow, Jr., 50, died on June 17, 2018. He was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. George received his MBA from Averett Univerity in Finance, and went on to work in finance for the University of Virginia and most recently, Duke University.
George had a great love of photography, and even previously owned his own photography business. He loved animals, being outdoors, boating on the lake and hiking. He loved to be around people and had a great sense of humor. Having been raised in Columbus, George was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. His spirituality was very important to him as well.
George is survived by his wife, Dana Curnow; parents, George Sr. and Marlyn Curnow; sister, Christina Curnow (Keith Tederick) and their sons, Cody and Dylan Tederick; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Nancy Gustavson; sister-in-law, Charissa Daneilson (Jeff) and their children, Sarah Danielson and Rebekah Hill (James); and brother-in-law, David Gustavson (Amy) and their son, Colin Gustavson. George is also survived by his cat, Bhodie.
A memorial service will be held July 28, 2018 at 3:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC. In lieu of flowers, please make donation in George's memory to Wake Med Foundation,
