On Saturday, December 19th, 2020, our dearest mother, grandmother and sister-in-law, Gerald "Gerri" Cleveland Brady King, 86, of Raleigh, ascended into Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Gerri was the youngest of four daughters born to Grover Cleveland Brady and Stella Blackman and wife of the late Bruce King.
She is survived by her sons: Rex and David King; daughter-in-law: Brenda King; grandsons: Tyler and Josh King, all of Raleigh; as well as sisters-in-law: Hazel Sweat, of Zebulon, Myrtle Clair Sears, Betty Busbee King and Ann Warren, all three of Raleigh; and brother-in-law: Bill Warren, also of Raleigh.
Gerri was employed by both First Citizens and BB&T, the latter for 23 years as a bank teller. In her spare time, Gerri loved the outdoors taking care of her yard, visiting the beach and going dancing on Saturday nights, but most of all, anytime spent with her family was the most special.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Raleigh Memorial Park. For those unable to attend, the service will be recorded and posted immediately afterwards to the Facebook Page of Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park.
