Harriet was born on September 24, 1943, in Goldsboro, NC to the late Harrison Milton and Ina Pate Long.
Harriet loved spending time with her family and loved each person unconditionally. She loved The Lord and found great joy serving through Bible study. Her career included administrative assistance at the N.C. Highway Patrol Headquarters, the Administrative Office of the Courts, and the N.C. General Assembly.
Harriet is survived by her husband of 52 years, William B. Huskins, Sr., and their children; William, Hazlette, and Karen, and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Geraldine Holland and sister, Mary Pat McLamb.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 17 from 1:00 – 1:50pm at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park. A private service for the family will follow. The Huskins family is deeply appreciative to those who will be attending the visitation. Due to the COVID-19 virus, we kindly ask everyone to express their condolences from at least 6 feet apart while wearing a face covering.
