Harry Clinton Massey, Jr.

Harry was born July 12, 1936, to his parents the late Harry C Massey, Sr. and Ruth Finch. He was a part of the last graduating class of Hugh Morson High School and attended an engineering program at NC State University in Raleigh. After graduation he was a member of the United States Air Force for 3 years.

Harry was married to Rebecca Jones Massey for nearly 56 years, who preceded him in death in August of 2017.

He is survived by his only child, Karen Massey Hefferman, Son-in-Law, Jeffrey David Hefferman, and his precious granddaughters Chloe Grace and Joy Morissa.

Harry was passionate about 3 things in life: making sure others heard about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, caring for and being present for his granddaughters, and NC State University football!

Harry was an integral part of North Ridge Bible Chapel for decades. He took great joy from working with the youth in the church as an Awana leader, and seeing them come to know and follow the Lord. Harry lived his life with integrity both in his business life as well as his personal life. He was an engaged father, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed but we are so thankful he is now in his forever home in Heaven and has heard the words from his Savior, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Saturday, July 19th at North Ridge Bible Chapel, 7100 Harps Mill Rd. Raleigh, N.C. followed by a brief graveside message at Raleigh Memorial Park.
