Helen Walton Creech

Helen W. Creech, 75, passed away on April 19, 2013 at home. She was the daughter of the late Jacob (Jake) Linley Walton and Josie Clifton Walton. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Creech in 1987 and a brother, Charles Walton in 2003. She was retired as Human Resources Director for the N.C. Rate Bureau after 43 years of service.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the Garner Advent Christian Church, 1120 Vandora Springs Rd., Garner, with Reverend Joseph B. Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM at the church, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.

Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kim Creech of Raleigh, NC, her granddaughter, Brittany C. Daniel and husband Garrett, of Raleigh, NC, and grandson, Matthew J. (Jake) Creech of Chapel Hill, NC, great-grandchildren, Mabel and Saedie Daniel; a sister, Janie Holloway of Four Oaks, NC, a brother, Glen Walton and wife Alene of Garner, NC; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Walton of Raleigh, NC and eight nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Helen’s memory/honor can be made to Garner Advent Christian Church, 1120 Vandora Springs Rd., Garner, NC 27529 or the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 353 East Six Forks Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609.
