I was so sorry to hear of Hemesh's passing this past weekend. He was always kind and warm, and a certain energy filled him when you met him. His eyes lit up and were full of love when around children. May all his friends and family, especially Hannah and Hema, have strength to get through this difficult transition and find peace in his memories and knowing that his suffering is over. We are so fortunate to have had the oportunity to have known Hemesh. He was an amazingly genuine person, always so gentle, kind and helpful. I remember him for his quiet strength, unassumig nature, radiating calm and peace. He will be missed. 

We are so very sorry, we can't be there in person during these trying times. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with Hema, Hannah and Aunty. Stay strong!

Hemesh loved books and British history, a common trait the two of us had. He read obscure stuff. Like I remember one time about 15 years ago, he told me about the memoirs of the Earl of Listowel.  He let me into his quiet world and introduced me to a different genre of literature, so we had many conversations about books and other topics. Sometimes, these talks were endless, but always relaxed and unhurried 🐌, just like him. I think he preferred thoughtful interactions over loud and flashy things. He borrowed books from me, but always returned them; something one cannot say about many people. Even Hanna asked me the day before yesterday, “Uncle, did Dad return all of your books?” I had to assure her that indeed he had. And there was no deception involved on my part.

I will always remember Hemesh as a soft-spoken, calm, gentle and genuinely good person. Though we hadn't spoken in a while, every time we met, I always remembering him having a calming effect on people - I never felt anything but good and peaceful vibes from him.

Hamesh ji was a very nice ,noble & wonderful person ❤ Just last year we got a chance to stay with him and whatever time we were with him he always smiled and talked in a very soft voice and also went for a walk with us.. Seeing him, it seemed that he has attained spirituality and we enjoyed as much as we could with him. It was our good fortune that we could meet him and we pray to our Baba Ji to give him a place in His feet and grant him Moksh 🙏

Good evening everyone, even though I had very few interactions with Hemesh but it was always as if one  pure soul is talking to you. He was always smiling n a  quiet person.....no faltu gossip or gila shikva. To me he  was a buddha in life  n buddha in death too. *For family members* n me too - important is to live as successors not as survivors. And not to allow sadness/negativity to enter our life.

We had met Hemesh just once when he visited India alongwith Hema and Hannah. That memory is still fresh in our minds. What a charming and humble person he was. A very simple and humble human being. He left us too soon. I am sure his noble soul must have attained Moksha.  I pray for strength for Mamiji, Hema, Hannah and all other family members to bear this irreparable loss, a void which is not possible to be filled but you have his sweet memories with you.
