Jack Hensley

Jack Hensley passed away at Duke Medical Center on October 19, 2011 at the age of 88. He was born on May 10, 1923 in Logan WVa, but had lived in North Carolina since 1955. He served in the US Navy during WW II and the Korean War, and was married to the late Imogene Lilly Hensley for 48 years until her death in 1992.

He is survived by their two children, Dr Michael Hensley (and daughter-in-law Karen Pilc Hensley) of Chapel Hill NC and Redwood City CA, and Dr Michele Hensley of Raleigh NC and Jerusalem, Israel. Grandchildren are Sharon Hensley Jones of Plymouth MA, Dr Lisa Hensley of Frederick MD, and Goel and Moshe Damkani who both live in Israel. Great-grandchildren are Katherine and Andrew Jones, both of Plymouth MA and James Hensley of Frederick MD. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Nelle Hensley Childers of Huntington WVa.

A private graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday October 21 in Raleigh Memorial Park. He loved The Lord and a favorite Scripture was Psalm 16:11, "You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your Presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand."
