Served in the Navy as a member of VR-22 Navy Squadron (Air Transport), serving aircraft carriers operating in the Atlantic.
He retired after 33 years with IBM in chip development lab.
During his retirement, Jack was a volunteer Host Conductor with the NC Railroad Association and worked with the USO at RDU airport.
He attended Ephesus Baptist Church in Raleigh.
Preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Sara Pegram, sister, Betty Sue Keller, wives Estelle Narron Pegram and Doris H. Pegram, and daughter Debora Elaine Leisy.
Survived by his children, Terry Romines and Robert Pegram, nephews, Mike and Danny Keller, and three wonderful granddaughters and six great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Raleigh Memorial Park.
