Jacqueline Lindsay Cottle

Jackie was born on February 9, 1929 in Richfield, NC. She was educated in Curry High School (on the UNC-G Campus), graduating from Guilford College. She attended Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC for many years serving in multiple capacities, including the Nursery, Secretary for the Joy Sunday School Class, and helping with activities on Thursdays. She volunteered many hours with Meals on Wheels, The Wake Community Collaborative For Children and Families, North Raleigh Ministry, and First Baptist Church, helping needy people with clothes and shoes.

Jackie was employed as a Secretary for the NC Department of Mental Health, as well as her husband's business, Glover Printing Company. She also served on the Board of Control for the City of Raleigh for many years.

She is survived by her children, Tony Cottle, and his wife, Sue, Laura C. Shaw, and her husband, Carson, Robert Leland Cottle, and his partner, Allison Keay; Grandchildren, Jessica Edwards, Robert (Robbie) Cottle, and his wife, Maria, and Cody Jarman, and his wife, Morgan; 10 Great Grandchildren, Gracie, Giovanni, Little Jackie, Liam, Little Leland, Caden, Wyatt, Levi, Paislee Gray and Scarlett; Great Great Grandson, Cyrus Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leland M. Cottle, her mother, Maude Frick Lindsay, her sister, Hazel Jackson, and her brother-in-law, Sonny Jackson.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00pm. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm in the church. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park.
