He was born on March 29, 1947. His parents were the late, Richard Decatur Vick and Cora Elizabeth Bateman Vick. Jim worked as a CPA for many years, and he lived most of his life in Raleigh,but had a home which he loved in Puerto Rico.
He is survived by his brother, Tom Vick and his wife, Karen of Raleigh; and beloved two dogs, Gracie and Teddy.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home Chapel, 300 Saint Mary's St. Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at Brown-Wynne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA of Wake County.
