Andrew and Family: I was saddened to hear of the passing of Ms. Janie. She was such a kind and helpful person to me and many other employees at Durham City Hall answering questions and enrolling us in various Colonial products. I am surely going to miss her; she was such a caring; sincere and honest person. I will keep you and the family in my prayers.

Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. I loved looking at the photos of Janie with family and friends. She always had a beautiful smile on her face.
I will remember her kindness , our conversations of family and that beautiful smile. She will be missed. Heaven is lucky to have her.

Janie and I graduated from Williamson High School the same year. Janie always wore a smile, had a kind word and was beautiful inside and out. She was faithful to attend reunions and always left me with a good feeling, all was right in our world. I will kiss her greatly.. prayers for the family.

Andrew,
I just finished watching the beautiful tribute for Janie. I am sobbing. I lost my Mom too young at 64. I don't have words for you. I can only feel empathy for your loss. I don't mean "loss", as she clearly adored you and will always be with you.
She was absolutely beautiful in her life, stoic, really. I was fortunate enough to meet her with you in the 411 days and knew she was a light. A sparkling glow that reflects in your eyes and when she sat with you there, you were the glow in hers. Peace, my friend.
Of course I am sorry, but that word doesn't say enough. Please reach out if I can do anything at all, even sit and do nothing.
What a girl you were Janie May Greer!

Sending our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Dearest Andrew,
Our hearts are broken over the lose of Janie. She was a dear friend and colleague. I loved working with her cause no matter what the situation she always found the positive.
She truly had a way of making everyone feel special and if you never felt you were blessed you did after being around her. She wanted everyone she talked to, to also know how blessed she was. Her faith, courage, and strength was an inspiration to all of us.
Janie will live on in our memories and always in our heart. We all are truly the blessed ones to have known such an incredible and inspirational woman.
Love you “Miss Janie” and will miss you💕💕

My beloved Andrew,

I was completely shocked and saddened to hear about Mom's passing. For over 3 decades she has been an Angel and a blessing to me and to so many around her. She always had a sparkle like a "Star" and a kind word or warm hug to share. She was firm, fair, always honest and a woman who saw the best in everyone. I will always remember the many laughs, smiles, hugs and conversations with her. She always listened so well and had the best advice. Her love for God and her faith were unmeasured by human means. I remember one time bringing her Christmas homemade candy and the joy it brought me just from her reaction. I have been thinking of her all day and will truly miss her dearly. I am thinking of you and Betty Jo during this challenging time and want you to know you were loved by her more than anyone could imagine. You brought the pride smile out of her and it was incredible to see you two be Mother & Son. I value the time we have had and look forward to the time you and I still have. I love you like my brother and am here for you if and when you need to call upon me. Much Happiness, Joy, Love & Faith to you.

Your friend forever,

Travis Ennis

Just found out today and I am truly saddened to hear about Janie’s passing. Such a beautiful, classy and sweet lady. She was always so upbeat and caring... every time we spoke she always started our conversation with “ I Am Blessed”... loved our conversations about God and life in general. Andrew I am thinking about you and praying for comfort and peace for you and your family during this difficult time. I loved your Mom and will miss her. Love and prayers...
