As a native of Raleigh, he grew up the son of David (deceased) and Barbara Mosier. His years on Selkirk Place were some of his fondest years, along with going to Enloe High School. His favorite memories included the Memorial Day barbecues with his friends in the neighborhood.
Jay found the love of his life, Elisa Fariss Mosier, while they both worked at the local car wash in high school. This started a beautiful 30+ year life together where Jay was welcomed into the Fariss family, Tony “T” Fariss (deceased) and Amy, of Wendell, the “Forest Lane” family, and countless others that were more like family than friends. Jay and Elisa both graduated from NC State and have been mega fans of their alma mater ever since enjoying many football, basketball and baseball games as long-time season ticket holders. Although State was their first love, nothing compared to being parents to their two kids, Weston (12) and Blake (9). Jay also loved his fur babies, Remy and McCoy.
Jay was brother to David Mosier (Elena) of Augusta GA, Aleece Mosier (Bryan) of Akron, OH, and Carrie Fariss Clonts (Benjamin) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his two nieces, Caroline and Camille Mosier.
His family will be hosting a celebrate his life at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 16th at NewPath Church, 9225 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
