

Jeff had many occupations in his lifetime including, but not limited to, steel worker, construction, and an agent for New York Air. He ultimately retired in 2017 after 30 years of service as a United States Postal Service mail carrier.
Jeff lived in multiple states throughout his life before settling in Raleigh, NC in the late 1970's where he met his future wife of 38 years, Sheryl Anne Davis Leander. In addition to Sheryl, Jeff is survived by their son Trevor Leander, his wife Jenna Brooks Leander of Marshville, NC, and their daughters Savannah (6) and Sophia (4). Sisters, Susan Leander and her husband Jay Freedman and Allison-Leander Kucsan and her husband Gary Kucsan.
Jeff enjoyed long distance running in his younger years, art, spelunking, hiking, raising Japanese maple trees, traveling, bee keeping, wood working, gold mining, music, family vacations, and making others laugh.
Jeff was an amazing husband, father, PopPop, and a friend to many. He had an overwhelming urge to help others in need. He will be loved and celebrated for years to come. His memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, February 4, 2024, in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.
