If you knew Jenna, you knew her generosity and smile. Born on September 2nd, 1984 in Salinas, CA, Jenna spent her early years growing up in Florida with her beloved mother and brother. She earned a degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida and was deeply passionate about the needs of others, freely giving support to everyone she knew.
Jenna loved reading, crocheting, and enjoying time and meals with her brother and gaggle of friends. She was the kind of person who saw every person as they are and accepted them without judgment. She saw a need and met it, and like a walking love letter, wholly encouraged and supported all lucky enough to be in her sphere.
Jenna leaves behind her brother, Matt Poloni; her found family in Tabitha Morris, Cassandra Grant, Chelsea El-Haddad, Annie Kistner, Raisa McKenzie, and Sharon Kiser; and more friends than anyone could count. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lynn Poloni. She can be best remembered by appreciating the color pink, petting dogs, hugging babies, and living your best life.
The family would like to thank Dr. Niharika Mettu, everyone at the Duke Cancer Center, and her team at Duke Hospice for the care and compassion they always showed her throughout this past year and in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jenna’s spirit of generosity by donating to a charity close to your own heart.
