Born in Lansing, Michigan, Jerry lived a life defined by family, travel, and a strong work ethic. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, and took great pride in the people he loved.
Those who knew Jerry will remember his gift for storytelling, his love of limericks, and his lifelong enjoyment of cars and music. An avid golfer, he especially cherished time spent on the course. He leaves behind many treasured memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his three children, Jodi Purich (Todd), Casey Casler (Jessi), and Andy Casler; two grandchildren, Megan Mills (Dan) and Nate Purich; and his great-granddaughter, Isabelle Mills. He is also survived by his sister, Louise McHenry, his sister-in-law, Sherry Casler, and sister-in-law Jane Casler.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, by using the link below, under 'Donations'.
