John Anthony Andreala

1998 – 2026

With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, John Anthony Andreala, who left this world far too soon at the age of 28. Though his life was tragically short, he filled it with kindness, laughter, dedication, and a spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

John built a meaningful career as a Field Technician at Duke University, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, technical skill, and unwavering commitment to excellence. He took great pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed being out in the field, solving problems, helping others, and building lasting friendships with his colleagues.

John found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured every opportunity to experience the outdoors. The beach was his sanctuary, where he felt most at peace. He loved fishing, the excitement of jet skiing, and exploring nature on hiking trails throughout the Raleigh area. Some of his favorite adventures were the hikes he shared with his family while visiting his brother Jared in Utah, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

He also loved spending time with his brothers and close friends playing video games or creating music, where laughter, friendly competition, and countless unforgettable moments strengthened lifelong bonds.

More than anything, John loved his family. He was a devoted son to his father, John M. Andreala, and his mother, Dawn Andreala. He was a loving brother to Jared Andreala and Anthony Briody, and a proud uncle to his nephew, Maxwell, and his niece, Alianna, who brought him immense happiness. His faithful dog, Luna, was his constant companion, accompanying him through both everyday adventures and life's quiet moments.

John will be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laugh, generous heart, and genuine ability to make others feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. His kindness, loyalty, and compassionate spirit left an enduring impression on everyone whose life he touched.

Although our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in the countless memories he gave us and in knowing that his love and spirit will remain with us always. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

May we honor John's memory by embracing each day with gratitude, finding beauty in the outdoors, cherishing time with those we love, and living with the same kindness, loyalty, and appreciation for life's simple moments that he embodied so naturally.
