John Lawrence "Jack" Davis

Jack was born on July 8, 1941, to Arling and Ellen Davis in Cleveland, Ohio. He studied accounting at The Ohio State University and Baldwin-Wallace College where he excelled academically.

After school, Jack chose a career in banking where he served in various roles. With a distinguished career as a Chief Financial Officer, Jack was known for his unwavering dedication, integrity, and a passion for helping financial institutions thrive. He left a lasting impact on the industry through his commitment to excellence and his genuine care for those he worked with.

Although his career was fulfilling, the love for his family and close friends were what sustained him. Jack was a loving husband and father to his three children. His greatest role was being a grandfather "Papa Jack" to his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He enjoyed watching and sharing all their milestones throughout the years.

In his later years, Jack spent more than half the year at his second home in Anna Maria Island, Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his late wife of 40 years, Beverly Davis; his brother Garry; sister Karen, and his parents Arling and Ellen Davis.

Jack is survived by his wife, Brenda Helton of Louisville, KY; his daughters, Ellen Frick of Raleigh, NC, and Janet Lurding and her husband, Adams, of Bend, OR; his son, John Davis, Jr. and wife, Christina, of Louisville, KY; his grandchildren, Rachel Phelps and her husband, Cole, Benjamin Frick, Matthew Frick, Emme Lurding, Davis Lurding, Leland Davis, Jordan Davis, Jessica Davis, Nathan Mays, Ronan Johnson, and Malcolm Johnson; and his great-granddaughter, Margaret Phelps.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held at a later date. In the meantime, we appreciate your thoughts and condolences.
