John Daylon Denton passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. John was a private man who didn’t always let people in, but those who were fortunate enough to know him knew his humor, personality, and unforgettable spirit.
John found joy in the simple things in life—his home, his truck, and, most importantly, his family. He was a man who loved deeply and valued the people who stood beside him.
John leaves behind his mother, Carolyn Cook; his wife, Debbie Denton; his children, John Denton Jr., Jacqueline Solis, and Janell Denton; step-children Kayla McLeod, Kyle Soper; his grandchildren, Anthony Brady, Micah and Mackenzie Lollar; and his siblings, Wanda Hughes, Missy Willis, and Lisa Price; and several nieces and nephews.
His family will forever carry his memory in their hearts. John may be gone from their sight, but the love, laughter, and memories he left behind will remain a part of them forever.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.
