Joyce K. Kermon Britt

She is survived by her children- her son John W. Britt Jr., of Memphis TN, and her daughter Amy B. Hudson and her husband Mark, of Apex, NC. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren- John III, Ginni, Anna Grace, Garrett, Audie and Reid; and her two sisters Jean Woodcock and Retha James and her husband Tom, all of Rocky Mount. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Britt, and her brother T.M. Kermon.

Joyce worked at Rex Hospital for over 25 years, where she worked as a nurse on 7 West. She was a member and faithful servant at Highland UMC. She loved to read and complete word puzzles, but her passion and true love was caring for others. She exemplified many Godly characteristics and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 1, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, with the service to follow at 2:00 pm, at Highland United Methodist Church, 1901 Ridge Rd., Raleigh. Interment at Raleigh Memorial Park.
