J.T. Dean

Jessie was born in Raleigh to the late Jessie L. Dean and Lilly Holt Dean. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Salvation Army.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Dean.

Jessie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Jean Dean; sons, Michael Alan Dean and his wife, Leslie of Pilot; and Jason Timothy Dean and his wife, Sarah of Raleigh; brother, Curtis Dean and his wife, Jackie; sisters, Margaret Lassiter; Marie Black; Kathy Turner and her husband, Lloyd; Annette Dean and her husband, David Puckett; grandchildren, Nicole Dean; Hannah Dean; Sophie Dean; and Jacob Dean; and many nieces and nephews (Jeanie, Jay, Gene, Thomas, Haywood, Donna Marie, Joe, Jessica, Stevie, Laura, Michael, and Anna).

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2012 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. Burial will follow the service at the Bagwell Cemetery in Raleigh. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
