Judith Parker Glover, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Born on August 14, 1940 in Erwin, NC; she was the daughter of the late Samuel Parker and Aidell Allen Parker.
Judy spent many years working in personnel and administration for Burlington Industries, Pine State Creamery, the Wake County Public School system, and the NC Department of Revenue. It was at Pine State that she met Malvin Glover and on February 14, 1981 they were married. She was an active member in the choir and Women’s group at First Baptist Church in Erwin, NC for many years. In her later years she became a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. She loved working with the Women on a Mission group and dedicated most of her free time to creating pillows for Nursing homes in the area.
Judy loved her family and was quite proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always “picking up” little surprises to give whenever they came to visit. Her love of baking, gardening, and people filled her days.
Her daughters, Lori and Tina were blessed to have such a Godly mother, and the lessons she instilled in them will continue in their lives and generations to come. The ability to love in every situation and smile at adversity is her legacy.
She had an infectious laugh and her smile would light up the room. The gifts she gave to her family and friends will long be remembered, and the imprint she made on their lives will last forever.
She is survived by her husband: Malvin Glover and his son Greg Alan Glover and wife Robin Glover of Cary, NC; daughters: Lori Johnson Dorman Darner and husband Harold Darner of North East Maryland, Tina Johnson Strickland and husband Charles Allen Strickland of Erwin, NC; grandsons: Alex Dorman, Christopher Dorman, Andrew Dorman, Johnathon Dorman, and Alan Glover; granddaughters: Angel Dorman, Heather Strickland, Danielle Strickland, and Jessica Glover; sister: Montez Roudebush; brother and sister in law: Dallas T. Glover and Faye Glover of Youngsville, NC; nephew: Troy Glover of Youngsville, NC; and 9 great grandsons and 5 great granddaughters.
