She is survived by her sister Nancy May, and brother Sam Pittman; children Ken Reece, Karen Tomko, Don Reece; grandchildren Mitchell Reece, Philip Reece, Kieran Scott, and Eddie Reece.
She had careers as a secretary and bookkeeper, but most importantly as a loving mother. She enjoyed trips to the beach, and the company of good friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 11:00am with a Visitation prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612.
