Betty was born on May 5, 1927 in Wake County to the late John Harvey Bond and Sallie Dodd Bond.
Surviving Betty are her two sons, Clarence Gargis and his wife Sallie of Louisburg and John Anthony Gargis and his wife Vickie of Wake Forest; two sisters, Dorothy Goodman and her husband Jim of Norfolk, VA and Thelma Castleberry of Garner; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in the Wynne Center at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home St. Mary’s St. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm-2:30pm prior to the service.
