Kelly is survived by her three children: Hannah 25, Riley 19, and Sam 19. Kelly was a fiercely, passionate fighter. She approached life the way a prize-fighter approaches an opponent. In that way she emulated her father, Richard Reed Sr., who was a professional boxer when he was young. She was also a committed mother to her children, not unlike her own mother, Shirley Reed. She was also a loving sister to her sister Lori and brother Chip. Additionally, she was a loyal friend.
The many who knew her as a friend experienced what it was like to be loved intensely. Most of all she was a fiercely committed follower of Jesus Christ, whom she loved dearly. Kelly never wavered in her faith. She was faithful till the end! Others might turn their backs, she remained true. Kelly fought a long battle against a vicious disease. She was full of confidence that she would be healed.
Her prayers were answered on Friday morning when she stepped into glory! Finally able to breath freely for the first time in more than a decade, I am sure she looked at Jesus full in the face to hear, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into my rest.” Kelly’s response,…“Woohoo, let’s do this!”
