Kevin Mercer

Kevin was cherished son, grandson and friend. He was a free spirit who enjoyed living life to the fullest. He had a talent for art but had a true passion for music. He was often found strumming away on his guitar, or creating art through various mediums. Kevin was also a clever wordsmith and enjoyed a good debate wherever he found one.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Karen Yates; father, Richard Keith Mercer; grandparents, William and Esther Yates and Dolly Mercer; and many other loving family and friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Richard W. Mercer.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s St., Raleigh. Burial will follow in Historic Oakwood Cemetery.

The family will receive guests for visitation on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s St., Raleigh.
