

Mrs. Hall was born on August 28, 1931, in Flat Top, W.Va., the daughter of the late Raymond and Bessie Lovell. She attended Edgewood Park College in New York, where she majored in fashion design, and later attended Marshall University, where she majored in early education and was a member of the Pi Kappa Sigma sorority.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her daughter, Linda Heller, and her husband Jim, of Naperville, Ill.; two sons, Steve Hall, and his wife Lauren, of Midlothian, Va., and Stuart Hall, and his wife Lisa, of Cary; three grandchildren, Sarah Hall Heller, and her husband Sid Majumdar, of Urbana, Ill., and Allison Mackenzie Hall and Riley Benjamin Hall, both of Cary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Larry Hall.
In high school, Mrs. Hall was a saxophonist for the Woodrow Wilson High marching band that was voted the best in West Virginia for two consecutive years. She participated in numerous volunteer activities over the years, especially enjoying her work at various local hospitals. She was an accomplished seamstress and interior decorator. Most notably, she was a devoted mother and grandmother.
There will be a visitation at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7209 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh, from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, November 14. A memorial service will be held immediately afterward at the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh. The Rev. Owen Barrow, pastor at 519 Church, will preside.
