

Lillian was born in Kearny, NJ to Anthony Johnson and Helen Weiveris Johnson. She worked with the War Department in NY during WWII, was married in 1946 and moved to Raleigh when Westinghouse moved her husband to the area in 1955. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a kindergarten teacher at the church school for many years. She was also employed with NCSU in the 1980's where she worked in the office of Coach Jimmy Valvano; the Provost Office; and the Chancellor's Office. For the last three years she has enjoyed living at The Heritage.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Bezgela.
Lillian is survived by her son, Mark Bezgela and his wife, Sandra of Dunn and their children, Christopher, Timothy, and Jonathan; daughter, Ann Bulman and her husband, Stuart of Rolesville and their children, Victoria, Isaac, and Samuel; sister, Helen Sidits of Brick, NJ; and one great grandchild, Cadence Bezgela.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Friday, September 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2718 Overbrook Drive, Raleigh, NC 27608. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.
