Lillian Wall Greer of Raleigh and Pine Knoll Shores passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018 surrounded by family. She was born October 15, 1924 to the late Percy Gray Wall and Henri Marshall Wall of Stokes County. She graduated from Walnut Cove High School and The College of Commerce in Winston-Salem. She was supervisor of Bookkeeping, Billing and Typing at P.H. Hanes Knitting for 11 years. She was an active member of the Medical Auxiliary and worked many hours raising money to benefit the Frankie Lemon School.
Lillian is survived by her children; Cindy Goodwin (David), Suzanne Lovelace, and Tom Greer (Joyce); her grandchildren, Hannah Howard, Greer Howard, Zac Lovelace and Taylor Lovelace; and special niece, Gale Stone Johnson. Lillian is also survived by her brothers, Gray Wall ( Louberta ), Bud Wall (Frances) and Ross Wall (Pat); as well as brother-in-law, Richard Stone; and sister-in-law, Joy Wall; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas B. Greer, MD; sisters, Rebecca Hedrick , Myrtle Stone and Sallie Spainhour; brothers, James Wall and Ken Wall.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday October 25, 2018 at 10:00 am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh. The family will receive friends following the service. The interment will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park, 3771 Yadkinville Road, Winston-Salem, NC at 3:00 pm.
