Lois Poole Capps, 91, of Selma died on August 18, 2014. Lois was a charter member of Crabtree Valley Baptist Church and dedicated her life to the love of her family, friends and the crafts she so cleverly handmade. She was a woman with a kind, compassionate heart and a gentle touch. Lois loved animals, dogs that her children rescued over the years, as well as her own.
Lois is survived by her son Edward (Ed) Gardner Capps (Alex Brovey) of Glen Cove, NY, her daughter Jennifer Parker Capps (Dawn Stancil) of Apex, NC and her 2 grandchildren Noah and Gabriel.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward (Ed) Parker Capps of Selma, her parents, Polie Gardner Poole and Mamie Hales Poole and her brother James Lavern Poole also of Selma.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 21, at 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh NC.
In lieu of flowers, Lois wanted any donations made to a local animal rescue of your choice or The Crabtree Valley Baptist Church in Raleigh NC.
