

Lorraine was born March 26, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY to the late Michael and Catherine Deutsch. She lived in New York before moving with her family to Raleigh, NC in 1995. She was the proud wife to a New York City Police Officer, a loving mother, and devoted caretaker to her aging parents.
Lorraine will be remembered for her deep love of family, her sharp wit, genuine affection for animals, her devotion to the Blessed Mother through the Rosary, and her unwavering Catholic faith. Together with Edward, they will be remembered for the genuine love and faith they shared, and for the beautiful example they set through their marriage—a lasting source of inspiration and strength for their children and all who loved them.
Lorraine is survived by her children, son, Robert Falkiewicz, and his wife, Jill, of Omaha, NE, and daughter, Dana Healy, and her husband Timothy, of Raleigh, NC; granddaughters, Halie and Nikki; in-laws, Ronald, Michael & Eileen, and Eleanor, nieces and nephews in NY, NJ, PA, NC, TN, & PR; and best friends, Debbie & Frank.
In addition to her husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; beloved aunts and uncles; her brother Arthur Deutsch; sister Adele Dickinson; brother-in-law, Phil; nephew, Michael Deutsch; and niece Lillian Scarpinito.
A Memorial Mass will be offered on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Raleigh, beginning at 11:00am. Lorraine will be placed next to her husband in the church columbarium immediately following Mass. The family will receive visitors Monday evening, June 2, from 7:00 - 9:00 in Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.
