She was born September 25th, 1929, in Ha Nam, Viet Nam.
Luy was preceded in death by her husband, Doan Duc Nhuan, and her daughter, Doan Thi Thu.
She enjoyed knitting and sewing clothes to keep her family warm, gardening, going to the temple, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Luy is survived by her daughter, Doan Thi Cuc, and sons, Doan Minh Ngoc and Doan Bao Thach. She also leaves 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Visitation will be held between 5 pm and 9 pm, Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, and funeral services will begin at 9 am, Thursday, February 10th, 2022, at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park (7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC, 27612).
