Mable Wiggins Stuart

July 29, 1923March 18, 2014

Mable Stuart died March 18, 2014. She was born in St. Paul, NC to Addie F. and William W. Wiggins. They moved to Raleigh about two years later. Mable attended Myrtle Underwood Elementary School, Needham Broughton High School and Hardbarger Business School.

She was predeceased by her parents, son Walt III, and her sister Margaret Burroughs (brother-in-law Dallas S. Burroughs). She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Walter; daughter, Patricia, of Raleigh; sister and her husband, Ruth and Charles Campbell of NY; and nieces and nephews.

Mable and Walter lived in Raleigh over 50 years. They then moved to Emerald Isle for several years, then to Fuquay-Varina, and also Abbotswood, in Raleigh.

Graveside services at Montlawn Memorial Park will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 1:00pm.

A visitation will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s Street, Raleigh.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to your favorite charity.
