

Patty Dudley, 71, of Union, South Carolina and formerly of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born October 22, 1942 in New York, NY to Edward and Margaret McNicol, who have preceeded her in death.
Patty married the love of her life Larry Dudley on June 12, 1965 in Rockville Centre, NY. She is a graduate of Mary Immaculate School of Nursing in Queens, NY. Patty was a nurse for 50 years demonstrating her compassion and genuine care for everyone. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir.
Patty enjoyed spending time at the beach and traveling, but most of all she enjoyed her family. Her greatest accomplishment was her children. Patty will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and compassionate woman who will be dearly missed by everyone blessed to have known her.
Patty is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Larry Dudley; children, Susan Bruton and husband Wade, Bill Dudley, Amy Horning and husband Randy and Heather Dudley and husband Keith; grandchildren, Justin, Logan, Elizabeth, Shane, Tanner and Cassidy; great grandson, Eli; brothers, Peter McNicol and wife Frannie and Edward McNicol and wife Rosa and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Saturday, May 17 at 1pm. Reception to follow.
