Marian Barg James, formerly of Raleigh, N.C. died Saturday. June, 21, 2014. She was born in Cameron County, Texas, the daughter of the late Fred and Ena Denison Barg. Her husband, Gerald D. James, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Verne and Robert Barg, and sister, Phyllis Mitchell. Surviving are a son, William James and wife Gerri, and granddaughter Sara, of Kernersville, N.C. and sister-in-law Evelyn Barg, nieces, Carol Barg, Jean Roland, and Paulette Jackson, nephews, Fred, Gary and Ronnie Barg, and many great nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church, and the Cameron Sunday School Class in Raleigh, and a former member of the Woman's Club of Raleigh.
Funeral service will be conducted in the Mausoleum Chapel at the Raleigh Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 24 at 2:30. Memorials may be made to Hayes Barton United Methodist Church, 2209 Fairview Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27608-2240.
