

Marianne Elizabeth Hardison passed away unexpectedly while on vacation with family and friends on February 10th, 2017. Born to the late Marjorie Brabant Bibby, she was raised in RI. There she met the love of her life, Dr. Mitchell Dale Hardison, her husband of 35 years.
Following Mitch’s residency they relocated to Wilson NC where they lived for ten years and began their family. They ultimately settled in Raleigh where Marianne successfully managed his concierge medical practice. As practice manager she had the unique ability to make each patient feel as if they were visiting an old friend.
She was a woman of many talents; a gifted violinist, decorator and artist. One of her favorite pastimes was going to the beach and riding on the boat to watch the sunset with her family. She was the backbone of her family and inspired them daily with her infectious smile and considerate nature. Marianne was active in a weekly Bible study and found joy in enriching her spiritual life. Her friends were blessed by her strong and constant faith.
Marianne was a loving sister, mother and grandmother and a beloved friend. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Mitchell Dale Hardison. She is survived by her daughter Anna Severn and her husband Jason Severn and her son Joseph Hardison and his wife Kimberly Hardison, along with their two children Reed and Logan. In addition, her brothers David Bibby and Peter Bibby survive her, as well as her sister-in-law JoLynn Futch and husband David Futch.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 23rd from 6-8pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 300 Saint Mary’s St. Raleigh. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 24th at 10am at Sacred Heart Cathedral 200 Hillsborough St. Raleigh, NC 27603. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation in Marianne’s name to Transitions LifeCare at 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh NC 27607.
