Marie Hamilton Marcello, 81, of Raleigh NC, passed September 6, 2023, with her family and cherished dog by her side. Marie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed.
Marie was born in Kingston, NY and moved to Raleigh in 1977, where she eventually found the love of her life, Vic Marcello. Her sweet smile, kind heart and generosity made her a friend to many.
Surviving is her husband Victor Marcello, her daughters, Michelle Benjamin (Joe), Stacey Johnson (Ben), Selene Clark, her brother Carl Hamilton and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hilda Hamilton, brother George Hamilton Jr., her daughter Licia Olmsted and son-in-law Cy Clark.
A private Celebration of Life will be planned for the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh NC 27607. They made this most difficult time easier to get through.
