Mary Elizabeth Chappell

Mary was the daughter of the late Sherwood S. and Mary Elizabeth Hodges Chappell of Raleigh, NC. She is survived by her sister and brother in-law Shirley and Bob Turbiville, nieces Barbara Haas and Deborah Boyd, and nephew James Herring. She is also survived by great-nieces Candice Casper, Scarlett Miller and great-nephews Carl Haas, Erik Haas and a great-great nephew Landon James Herring Malfait, and extended families of Keely Stone and Melynda Hickman.

Mary was full of love for everyone and was always ready to show you with a big hug. Mary was a resident with Residential Support Services of Wake County for 37 years and lovingly cared for by the devoted staff. She had many happy hours with her friends at the Raleigh Community Workforce Solutions and Wake Enterprise. She was a member of the M’n’M singers of the Arc of Wake County and loved singing and the friendships she found there.

Special thanks to the staff at Residential Support Services for their love of Mary and wonderful care they gave her. Also, special thanks to Hospice of Wake County for their assistance and heartfelt care when it was most needed.

Visitation will be at Mitchell’s Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC on Sat. Feb. 15, 2:00-4:00 PM and graveside services on Sun. Feb. 16, 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery, LaGrange, NC.
