Mary Evelyn Kinsey

Mary Evelyn Kinsey, 88, died May 11, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born and raised on a farm in Clayton, NC on August 21, 1927to Milton Alonzo Barbour and Oma Ila Stancil Barbour. She met her late husband Richard Allen Kinsey in 1946 at Homer Briar Hoppers Dance Hall in Smithfield.

She is survived by her two children: Jimmy Allen Kinsey (Mary Sigman, (Fiancé), Lynn Robinette Kinsey (Wiggins) both of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren: Kelli Kinsey (Fountaine), Brian Kinsey, Ashley Wiggins, Jordan Wiggins, Elizabeth Wiggins and Joseph Sigman; four great grandchildren: Casey Bloom, Jasmine Bloom, Dylan Bloom, Brenna Kinsey; five nephews: Jerry Barbour, Dennis Barbour, Mark Barbour, Tracy King, and Stephen King; and by two nieces: Kathy Rose Barbour and Dawn King.

Mary Evelyn was proceeded in death by her brother, Milton Braxton Barbour, of Hackers Island, NC and sister, Julia Rosy Barbour King, of Raleigh.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Carl Leonard. Family will be arriving to the funeral home at 12 Noon to receive visitors.

Graveside Services will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park with pallbearers being Jim Allen Kinsey, Bryan Kinsey, Stephen King, Dennis Barbour, Jordan Wiggins, and Kenneth Muller.
