Mary Price Lamm

Mary Price McLawhorn Lamm, 90, a 20 year resident of Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, passed away after complications from a stroke on Feb 3, 2012. Born to William & Bertha Price of Amelia County, VA, Mary served as Assistant to the Clerk of Court in Craven County, NC & was as an active member Broad Street Christian Church in New Bern, NC. She enjoyed, painting, furniture making, antiquing, sewing, entertaining, traveling extensively in her motor home, as well as many years of volunteering at New Bern Memorial Hospital. Following retirement she and Raymond moved to Raleigh where she was an active member at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church & became a passionate quilter; lovingly creating beautiful patch & whole top quilts for those she treasured.

Mary was preceded in death by husbands Harvey D. McLawhorn & Raymond B. Lamm; siblings William & Walter Price, Myrtle Catherine Price, & Laura Price Virnelson. She is survived by her loving niece Judy Cardy of Raleigh; Amy Virnelson Rhodes & Scott Rhodes of Hickory; Marsha Price Brower & Scott Brower of Dorr, MI; Donna Virnelson of Tallahassee, FL.; Heather Cardy, great niece of Raleigh; & Chris Cardy great nephew of Atlanta, GA.
