Mary Hershman Perkinson, 77, of Raleigh died Monday, December 8, 2014 at her home. Mary was born in Vance County to the late Marvin and Alma Hershman. She lived in Raleigh for over 56 years and was a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Perkinson.
Surviving are her three daughters, Cindy Davis and husband Tom of Raleigh; Teresa West of Raleigh, and Cheryl Darlak and husband Mark of Greenville, S.C.; 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Frazier and husband Dwight and a brother, Marvin Hershman, both of Henderson.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2100 Noble Road, Raleigh, N.C. 27608. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park.
