Mary graduated from Krisler Business School, in New York. She was the secretary of the Town of Poughkeepsie for many years. After retiring, she moved with her husband to the Raleigh area. They lived a very active lifestyle, and enjoyed tennis, swimming, card games, traveling and dancing. They were married for 68 years before his passing. Mary loved her family, and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her son, Barry Wilkins and his wife, Linda; her daughter, Deborah Corcoran and her husband, John; grandchildren, Jarett Wilkins, Heather Mancuso and husband, Joe, Kristin Venditti, William(Bill) Griffin and his wife, Angela, James Griffin, Jonathan Corcoran and wife, Cori, Amy Worsley and husband, Lee, Melissa Carter and husband, Matt, Jeff Corcoran and wife, Krystal, and Timothy Corcoran; nineteen great grandchildren; and her sisters Joan Leo of Hyde Park, NY and Dolores Garrison of Poughkeepsie, NY. She was predeceased by sweet baby Chaney James Corcoran who passed away at 10 weeks old.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 4, from 6:00-8:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday, June 5 at 1:00pm at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 520 West Holding Ave, Wake Forest, followed by entombment at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service for a reception to be held at Mitchell Funeral Home.
