

Maudie Lillian Nash, 96, of Raleigh and Danville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Raleigh. She was born August 10, 1920 Chatham County a daughter of the late John E. Pendergraph and Addie R. (Farrell) Pendergraph.
Maudie was a long time resident of Raleigh. Dancing with her "Happy Feet" always brought great joy to everyone around her, her love for music started as a young child when her father would play his Fiddle. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening, watching and listening to the birds, drawing and enjoying being at the beach. Every year when it was time for the NC State Fair you could count on her to be present. Especially to get in line to ride her favorite ride The Tilt-A-Whirl.
She was predeceased by her husbands: James David Hammock Sr., Aubrey Moore Sr. and John Nash; her siblings Cecil Pendergraph, Sadie Cooper, Blanche Crosby, Bell Mills, Ed Pendergraph, and Betty Lou Pendergraph.
She is survived by her children: Nancy Fay McDaniel, Wilma Creech, Janice Young (Wayne), Aubrey Moore (Sherry), Johnny Moore, Addirose Wann (Harvey); and Ramon Moore (Karen); 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind one brother Ernest Pendergraph. She will be missed greatly by her family; from the very beginning she always took every opportunity to spend time with all of her family.
