

Mildred Conyers Wirth, 86, died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at Morningside of Raleigh after a brief illness. She was born to the late Fredrick Ross and Clyda Chamblee Conyers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carl Wirth, Jr. and a daughter, Jean Ross Wirth. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mildred was a lover of books, pets, food, cooking and plants. She was a charter member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church and long time member of Daughters of the American Revolution Caswell-Nash Chapter and United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Mildred is survived by daughters, Maria Wilkes of Raleigh, Carla Armstrong and husband Curtis of Fuquay-Varina, and Toni Garrett of Timberlake; grandchildren, Caroline Hanemann and husband Craig, William Wilkes, Gina Garrett, and Stephanie Garrett; great-grandchildren, Billy Wilkes and Charles Hanemann; brother, Fredrick Ross Conyers, Jr. of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Toni Whittet of Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday June 18 from 6-8 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home at 300 St. Mary's Street. A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 19 at 2 pm in the mausoleum of Raleigh Memorial Park. Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607 or Boys and Girls Club.
