Missy Kee Wei Cann, 63, of Havelock, NC, died on February 10, 2019. Missy was born and raised in Taiwan. She moved to the United States at the age of 21, when she married Gregory Cann. They remain close friends to this day.

Rest in peace to Grand master Cann, and my condolences to her family. I was and I'm still thankful for meeting her. She gave me an opportunity to help at her tournament five years ago. Which allowed me to receive my 2nd Dan under the AAU black belt program. Also a chance to meet one of the Grand masters from the AAU Taekwondo board. Thank you Grand Master Cann.

To the family of Grand Master Missy Kee Wei Cann,

I was so sorry to hear of Missy's death and we want to express our most sincere sympathies to the family during this difficult time on the behalf of the United States of America Taekwondo North Carolina State Association, North Carolina Taekwondo Federation (NCTKD Federation). Master Cann was a highly valuable and respected member of the North Carolina Taekwondo community and the effects of her passing are already being felt.

I had the pleasure of knowing and sharing time with her through the years. The first time I met Missy was through Grand Master Gregory Cann's Havelock Taekwondo Championships; and since the first and last meeting, she always been the same caring and generous person. I truly will miss my counter partner in building and promoting North Carolina Taekwondo.

I met Missy in Taipei Taiwan when I was a Marine Security Guard at the US Embassy. She was bubbly and had a great sense of humor. To this day I can remember her laugh and that is how I will always remember her.

Mom is the only way I ever knew her. Mei Mei and I were practically raised in each other’s homes. She always treated me as her own child; even if that meant spanking me and telling me to do the dishes. :) She included me in shopping trips to Raleigh. I can’t even count how many times she put up with me spending the night! I’ll always remember her as strong. She was such a bad ass. She will be sorely missed. Praying for peace and strength for you Mei Mei and Lolo.

Grandmaster Cann was always kind and forgiving and trusting and could melt your heart with that smile. I could go on and on about her support and friendship in the Tae Kwon Do world.
I wish her friends and family always remember her through the art she lover so much. Many blessings to all

It is very hard to write all that I wish to say about Missy / GMaster Cann, most words are only for very close family and friends, needless to say, we were Married young and much in love. These past few months we had the opportunity to become closer once more, cook according to her strict directions with pleasure and even bring delight to her by sweeping the floor (those close will see the humor in this), playing Mahjong and caring for her daily until her journey to Heaven. I will miss my 小蛋糕 who has gone to be with her parents. Until we meet again I will never forget you, my love.
